Dr Abhinav Akkala

Dr Abhinav Akkala completed his MD in Anaesthesia at Manipal University in 2017 and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine in 2019, then spent a year as an ICU Specialist at a Dubai government hospital working hands-on with extracorporeal life support. As an intensivist he performs ultrasound-guided central line and arterial line placement, intercostal drain insertion and bedside percutaneous tracheostomy. His particular interests are infectious disease and antibiotic stewardship - deciding not just which antibiotic but when to stop it, which determines whether resistance develops in an ICU - along with ARDS, ECMO and polytrauma. He has worked in level 3 ICUs and is a member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He practises at Nizamabad.

Completed MD Anesthsia from.prestigious Manipal University in the year 2017 followed by which I did my fellowship in Critical Care Medicine in the yr 2019 .Worked level 3 ICU at various corporate hospitals.Worked as a Specialist in ICU at Dubai government Hospital (DUBAI) for a period of 1 yr where I had hands on experience with various extracorporeal life support equipment.
