Dr Maddipatla Sushma

Dr Maddipatla Sushma holds advanced training in diabetes and a postgraduate diploma in infectious diseases, and works where those two meet: metabolic and endocrine disorders on one side, tropical infectious disease on the other. Her inpatient work is at the severe end - septic shock, multi-organ dysfunction with DIC, complicated bacterial and viral infection, and patients on ventilatory support, including poisoning cases with high mortality. She won a gold medal during training and has published in international journals. She also runs geriatric care, is a member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, and practises at Kompally.

As a physician with advanced training in diabetes Mellitus and post graduate diploma in infectious diseases, I am passionate about patient education and preventive health with special interest in metabolic disorders and infectious disorders. Driven by curiosity and clinical problem solving nature I find fulfillment in diadnosing and treating complex cases. I believe that better communication with empathy will give better patient outcome. Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing a patient healed, reassured and back to living a healthy life.
